Well, did nano successfully once more this year! Despite being in college it went well, and excitingly this year I also finished a novel, not just the word count.

It was an imagining of Mina and Lucy at school, and it was fun to write horror for once. A good year, very satisfying!

I got my plot about two days into NaNo, and now I'm in my goove, pluggin' away and all that. It's actually a storyline I first dreamed up, in a very different form then it's in now, after I saw Edward Scissorhands for the first time. I even named the cat Edward, though I didn't have the movie in mind at the time ^^. The City of Luz should probably still come up, though. I need a name for a city that the story will wrap up in and I think that Luz will be appropriatly opposite as to what the city is meant for!

I hope everyone else is doing well! At the moment I've hit a bit of a block at 10,500 words, but I'm on track at the moment so I've got room for brain farts XD Good luck everyone, keep it up!

Yeah, the last plot I mentioned...I probably not going to happen. Yes, folks, it looks like Fable is going to procrastinate on coming up with a plot until November 1st! Yes indedy do! Good thing I'm the sort of schmo who can just write a story about anything. The quality of said story is the only thing in question. I guess I'm still just waiting for something to hit me, like it did last year.

Ah well, no matter what, let it never be said that I'm the sort of person who plans themselves into a corner!

I'm thinking about the city, Luz, being set sorta in the middle of the wodds, and the whole 'you can find it unless you're led to it by someone who's been there already' thing would be in place. It'd be sort of a city of scholars, and of magicians and sorcerers and wise fools and misfits with ears and wings and tails and hooves.

The MC would be running from something or other, don't ask me what, and would get found by one of the 'church boys' or a priest-in-training for the weird religion of luz and led to the city. She'd meet Magdelena, a sort of witch who can't really do much, but is charsimatic and very sneaky and sly and gets things to go a certain way. And she'd meet the librarian guy, who'd teach her cool stuff and...yeah, this parts still prety vague.

But there'd be trouble back home, and it'd be one of those things where to live in complete happiness, and ignore the pains of others, is irresonsible and not really living anyway, so she has to go back and set things right. and things proceed and the big main baddie is named Eliza, at the moment, and that's all I got. Kinda vague, but it's an idea at least.

I decided to make a nano/writing journal! Well...here it is. Yep.

I got the name for this journal from an idea for the name of a city. I realized a lot of great city names in stories were just existing words from existing languages, and luz sounded cool so I guess I borrowed it. Or something. I guess it's also the name of a city in the bible, but that's not really relevant. Anywho, I'm thinking of make the City of Luz a main setting in this years novel, so I hope that goes well. This year I'm thinking of a si-fi, fantasy, cirque du soliel inspired caffine induced world for my novel, so lets hope all goes well. Less then a month to go, yeahaw!
